Best War Movies of all time, The trench warfare movie scene in World War II is arguably more important than the action and stunts scene, because of the different kinds of environments that have to be in place in order to get a cinematic effect. War movies tend to be special effects heavy, so while visually intense and real, the film doesn’t quite look as intense and real as other genres.

The question that I’m asking here is “which war movie has the biggest brick in it” that really takes it to a higher level of craft. It doesn’t matter if you love your war movies or hate them, we’re talking about the genre.
